Here are a few items to consider during the early phases of your mailing:
For business mailings, we strongly encourage you to browse the United States Postal Services' Business Mail 101 portal.
Also known as “paperback books.” Perfect bound books are useful for anything that needs to dress to impress, including novels, event keepsakes, reference books, poetry collections, and anything too thick to saddle stitch.
When your book needs extra protection and definition, we recommend applying a UV Coating or Single-Sided Laminate to its outside cover. Both UV Coating and Lamination are available in photo gloss, smooth matte, and silky soft-touch finishes perfect for any occasion. When your book is larger than 120 pages, we can also start experimenting with its spine artwork.
Common sizes for perfect bound books include 8.5" x 11", 6" x 9", and 5.5" x 8.5" in both portrait and landscape orientations.
Common order quantities for perfect bound books include 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1000 copies.
Durable, flexible, and economical. Saddle stitched books are made from sheets of paper that are folded in half, stacked together, and stapled at least twice down their spine. The result is a process perfect for event programs, magazines, annual reports, guidebooks, workbooks, chapbooks, and service menus. We recommend saddle stitching as an option for most books up to 80 pages in size.
For a boost in bookshelf quality, we also offer saddle stitched books with a squared spine.
Common finished sizes for saddle stitched books are 8.5" x 11", 5.5" x 8.5", and 6" x 9".
Common order quantities for saddle stitched books are 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, and 2000 copies.
Coil binding is great for books requiring regular reading and handling, such as day planners, directories, menus, notebooks, calendars, cookbooks, and workbooks. The added bonus? The coils come in a variety of colors!!
Common sizes for coil bound books include 8.5" x 11", 5.5" x 8.5", 4.25" x 5.5", and 6" x 9".
Common order quantities for coil bound books include 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, and 2000 copies.
Consider this the rival to coil binding. Metal loops are threaded through the spine of your book, creating a durable binding edge that can withstand the test of time. Like coil binding, wire bound books find their uses with day planners, directories, menus, notebooks, calendars, and workbooks.
Common sizes for wire bound books include 8.5" x 11", 5.5" x 8.5", and 6" x 9".
Common order quantities for wire bound books include 25, 50, 100, 250, and 500 copies.
Neat, orderly, modular. Keep your next educational project informative and tidy with section dividers, tabs, chapter pages, and more! Class is in session.
Depending on your target audience, Coil Binding, Wire Binding, Saddle Stitching, and Perfect Binding all work wonderfully with reference books and workbooks.
Common sizes for reference books and workbooks include 8.5" x 11", 9" x 11", 5.5" x 8.5", and 6" x 9". Most section divider tabs protrude an extra 0.5" from the book, so remember to design accordingly!
Common order quantities for reference books include 10, 25, 50, 100, and 250 copies.
Whether we produce them weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually, we guarantee to keep your reports clean, consistent, headache-free, and true to your brand.
Common order quantities for annual reports include 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1000 copies.
Your books deserve a good bookmark. Distribute your bookmarks for awareness campaigns, offer them to customers as tokens of appreciation, or use them for an awesome upcoming promotion!
For durability beyond a book or two, we encourage either UV Coating or Laminating your bookmarks. If sharp corners are a concern, we can also give them rounded corners!
The most common size bookmark we've produced for customers is 2" x 6".
Numbered, perforated, and ready for action! Your attendees might even frame their ticket stub!
Common sizes for tickets include 2" x 3.5", 2.25" x 6.5", 2.25" x 8.5", and 4.25" x 5.5".
Common order quantities for tickets include 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1000 copies.
Deadlines are guaranteed with our periodic newsletters! Mail ‘em out, deliver ‘em door-to-door in your neighborhood, or pass ‘em around your office with pride.
We produce most of our periodicals either as saddle stitched books or packets with upper-left corner staples. You cannot go wrong with either method--it all comes down to preference and page count!

Common order quantities for newsletters include 100, 250, 500, 1000, and 2500 copies.
The year is Twenty-Twenty-Something. Computers have taken over the world. Never fear: you still need a notepad to jot down ideas.
Notepads are typically bound on an edge by glue, easy to tear off, and limited only by your imagination!
Common sizes for notepads include 3.67" x 8.5", 4.25" x 5.5", 5.5" x 8.5", and 8.5" x 11".

Tried-and-true, multi-part forms are the fastest way to give a copy of your signed contract, estimate, or invoice to your customer. Commonly available in 2-Part, 3-Part, and 4-Part variants.
Do your forms need a sequence number? Not a problem! Do they need a perforation? Also not a problem! Do they need to be converted into miniature books with wraparound covers? Trust us--not a problem!
Common sizes for multi-part forms include 4.25" x 5.5", 5.5" x 8.5", 8.5" x 11", and 8.5" x 14".
Common order quantities for multi-part forms include 100, 250, 500, 1000, and 2500 sets.
Perfect for campaigns, giveaways, school spirit, and event mementos. We can create pinback buttons, fridge magnets, bottle openers, keychains, and more!
Common order quantities for buttons and spirit wear include 25, 50, 100, 250, and 500 units.
You can use these to hold all the other printing you do with us! We have options for single pockets, double pockets, thicker pockets and spines, business card slits, and more! Plus, we offer a wonderful range of fun-to-formal print and paper options.
The most common folded size for pocket folders is 9’’ x 12’’ with 4’’ Pockets. This is die cut and glued out of a flat sheet with an image area 18" long x 16" tall. Pocket folders housing thicker contents may also benefit from a box spine and pocket.
Common order quantities for pocket folders include 250, 500, 1000, and 2000 copies.
The perfect complement to pocket folders! You can have as few as 3 and as many as 16(!) stepped inserts in your pocket folder's pockets, each slightly different in height to give your audience a quick overview of the insert's contents. One insert might provide an overview of your organization, one insert might feature testimonials, one insert might discuss plans for the year, etc.
The sizing can get tricky with these, so we recommend sizing the back sheet (insert #1) to 8.5" x 11". From there, chop 0.5" or 1" from the height of each stacked sheet, e.g., 8.5" x 10" for insert #2, 8.5" x 9" for insert #3, and 8.5" x 8" for insert #4. Just remember to keep it consistent!
If you would like to be extra-fancy, we can fold several of the inserts to convert them into 4-panel brochures. If you would like to be extra-extra fancy, we can also make saddle stitched booklets out of stepped inserts!
Common order quantities for stepped inserts include 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1000 sets.
Pass out 1 or 100 at a time! Flyers are one of the most affordable promotional items available, starting as little as pennies per print.

Common order quantities for flyers include 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500, and 5000 copies.
Hanging banners are a durable communication tool for viewers near and far. We can produce them horizontally, vertically, grommeted, hemmed, one-sided, two-sided, for indoor usage, for outdoor usage—you name it!
Grommets allow your banner to be displayed with cables, hooks, or elastic ties without fear of anything getting torn under tension. Hemming reinforces your banner's edges to also reduce the risk of tearing. Pole Pockets are a pocket of space along the top and bottom of your banner that allows a rod to be threaded for vertical hanging displays. Wind Slits prevent your banner from turning into a sail on a breezy day. Mesh Banners are our recommendation for any banners expecting a long, windy life on a chain link or other open-ended fence.
Common sizes for hanging banners include 3’ x 4’, 3’ x 5’, 3’ x 8’, 4’ x 8’, and 4’ x 10’.
These are indoor, vertical, retractable banners secured by a telescoping stand. We offer them in two convenient sizes: one perfect for tabletops, and one perfect for floors. Your store fronts and trade show booths will start to look empty without them!
Depending on the banner stand, the common size for tabletop retractable banners is typically around 11" x 17" and the common size for floor retractable banners is typically around 33.5" x 83".
What’s a successful trade show booth without all sorts of goodies and giveaways? If you have a logo, you have thousands of potential projects!
Our recommendation? Go from large-to-small. The large items will last for years and will grab faraway attention on the show floor, and the smaller items will make lovely giveaway memorabilia for your table's visitors.
Larger items include: tablecloths, backdrop (step-and-repeat) banners, retractable banners, posters, and foam board signage.
Smaller items include: business cards, brochures, rack cards, pens, booklets, stickers, note pads, buttons, coupons, pocket folders, and flyers.
Made from a weatherproof, fluted plastic, yard signs are perfect for occasions involving lawn advertising, thank-you’s, accolades, notices, warnings, walking directions, and more! Depending on the application, we offer them either one-sided or two-sided.
The two most common sizes for yard signs are 18" x 24" and 12" x 18". A metal step stake is used to stick the sign in the ground.
Common order quantities for yard signs include 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, and 250 copies.
If you want your logo on something, we will find a way to make it happen. Start with a pen (who doesn't love a pen!?), and then you can graduate to pencils, highlighters, sticky notes, bottles, bumper stickers, coffee mugs, drink-holders, coasters, tote bags, shopping bags, mouse pads, magnets, letter openers, stress balls, lanyards, and A LOT more.
Minimums and batch quantities vary, so please chat with us before deciding on a quantity!
Also note that most promotional products are produced using very specialized printing processes. In order to best accommodate their artwork requirements, we recommend having 1-color and 2-color variants of your logo, emblem, or design available for production.
We offer adhesive media in all shapes and sizes, perfect for wall graphics, packaging labels, bottle labels, jar labels, window graphics, bumper stickers, and more!
If rectangles are boring, we also offer all of the above as custom-cut shapes. Die cutting will route your design's shape through both the adhesive media AND backing liner (think: individual stickers). Kiss cutting will only route out your design's shape through the adhesive media, leaving the backing liner as a rectangle (think: a sticker sheet). Weeding is the process of removing all the unnecessary adhesive from a routed backing liner (think: removing all the non-printed adhesive on a sticker sheet). Application tape is recommended for assisting with the installation of complex, weeded shapes.
1st Surface Printing is the most common method of printing adhesives. These are printed with the intention of being placed on the top or front-side of a viewing surface (think: the outside of a window). For 1st surface applications, we recommend applying a gloss or matte laminate to protect your design against long-term fading from UV radiation, rain, dirt, and other debris.
2nd Surface Printing produces your project with the intention of being placed on the bottom or back-side of a viewing surface (think: the inside of a window, pointing outside).
When stickers and adhesives are a little too permanent, custom magnets are the answer! We offer printed magnets for indoor and outdoor applications, including for vehicles.
Just promise us you won’t stick them on your computer…
With our team’s combined powers, we will quickly turn around customized pricing based around your project's specifications. If you contact us regarding a project, we promise to respond to you in less than a business day! If there are still a few details to uncover, we will ask as many questions as we can to set the project up for success.
Printing can be overwhelming. There are countless processes, machines, and buzzwords that combine to produce even the simplest of projects. Regardless of your background in printing, we promise to make it an easy and enjoyable (and arguably fun!) experience.
We all pitch in to help with your needs, but we also know that you may "click" best with specific folks on our team. Every customer service rep is committed to the values found on our About page while also having a personality!
Depending on the complexity of your project, a phone call or email may not be the best form of communication.
If you would like to visit our shop, we are happy to discuss your project in our lobby or conference room! We are also happy to host a video conference with you or schedule a visit to your workplace or favorite coffee shop.
Printing is supposed to be FUN! : )
Sometimes, certain things about a project’s artwork can seem “off.” We will review your artwork, provide feedback, and—with your permission—can attempt cleaning, nudging, replacing, recoloring, or rearranging portions of your artwork to ensure everything prints 101% as-intended.
Need some layout help? Not a problem! Supply us with what you can—logos, taglines, type, photos, napkin doodles, branding requirements, etc.—and we'll carefully piece it all together. It's our goal to create artwork ready to print in the highest possible quality.
Prior to production, we will always supply you with an artwork proof to review, revise, and approve.
Unless otherwise instructed, your project will receive at least one electronic PDF artwork proof. This proof allows you to review your artwork's flow, design, spelling, and grammar prior to any print production. With your OK, we will send this file to our production team; otherwise, you are welcome to submit a change request for further modification and proofing.
Electronic proofing is perfect for conveniently reviewing your artwork as a whole. For projects featuring critical printing elements, we also offer hard copy proofing.
If there are any concerns over your artwork's translation to print, we offer physical, "hard copy" production proofs. This ensures everything is set to print and finish to your desired quality.
Because every project is unique and we want to always adhere to your budget and due date, we offer different complexities of hard copy proofing. This can include reviewing a printed press sheet, a cut press sheet, or a fully assembled production sample.
We have several flatbed and document-feeding scanners perfect for small-format scanning. All we ask is that you provide us the cleanest, crispest sample to scan.
Please note that for bound works, we almost always need to break the binding so that any staples, coils, glue, or other fasteners are removed. When possible, we can attempt rebinding the original with a staple or coil.
Do you have a long list of names for your business card order? A weekly round of brochures with a similar theme? A monthly mailing? If so, you need a design template!
To ensure your recurring project always features consistent editions, we are happy create a design template for our internal usage or—if you use Adobe InDesign—your own usage.
Designing for print can be challenging—there are certain size, space, and color requirements that make it different from digital design. Fortunately, our team is ready to help you and your team understand its basics! Contact us to schedule training time covering the basics of software such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Publisher.
Ol’ Reliable, and for a good reason! Offset printing uses traditional inks that can be mixed for Pantone "spot" colors or combined to produce full color work. It's great for quantity-focused production runs, projects requiring the use of specialty inks, and projects featuring color-critical elements.
Think of an office copier that just did 1,000 push-ups without breaking a sweat. Digital printing is the perfect solution for small- to mid-scale production runs, especially those with multiple design variants or pages. Instead of ink, digital presses use a powdery substance called toner that helps your artwork stand out on both coated and uncoated sheets of paper. Modern digital machines produce sharp, consistent images in black-and-white or full color with all sorts of inline production gadgetry.
This is where our digital machinery shines! With the power of technology, some programming, and a pinch of magic, your project's artwork can be updated page-by-page over its entire production run.
The possibilities are endless, but some common examples include: a personalized address on a letter or envelope, an incrementing sequence number on a form, collated pages and divider sheets in a workbook, and personalized covers to a publication.
We’re able to produce large-scale, full color posters, banners, window and wall graphics, stickers, and signage on a variety of materials perfect for either indoor or outdoor usage.

T-shirts! Sweatshirts! Scrubs! Face masks! Tote bags! We can help with all sorts of garment printing and embroidery needs.
We offer laser- and rotary-engraving for plaques, trophies, nameplates, badges, and other formal memorabilia.
Have a mind-boggling, extraordinarily-large print run? Even when things seem out of our scope or spec, give us the details and we are happy to try lending a hand!
We have a large, programmable paper cutting machine that cleanly clamps, squares, and cuts your project to its final size!
We handle all of the common book bindings in-house! These include saddle stitching (with optional square folded spines), perfect binding, coil binding, and wire binding.
Corners can be dangerous...or even ugly! Fortunately, we have a corner-rounding machine to keep things smooth. We commonly offer rounded corners with a quarter-inch radius, but if that's TOO rounded, we can also do an eighth-inch radius!
UV coating helps you stand out from the crowd! Using a layer of ultraviolet-cured coating, we can enhance the look, feel, and durability of a cardstock sheet. Our in-house options include:
UV Gloss Coating - A high-gloss effect. This will increase your project's reflectivity and contrast.
UV Matte Coating - A smooth, muted-sheen effect. Great for evening out the look of printed and non-printed regions of the sheet.
UV Soft Touch Coating - A smooth, muted-sheen effect with a silky feel similar to velvet.
With lamination, a plastic film is fused to your project with heat. This added plastic layer can increase your project's durability, thickness, and water resistance. Like UV coating, we have 1- and 2-sided options available with a glossy, smooth matte, or silky soft-touch finish.
All three styles of lamination are available in several thicknesses:
1.2mil Laminate - A single-sided nylon laminate for book covers.
3mil Laminate – Recommended for use with text-weight papers. If rigidity isn't a concern, it still works wonderfully on cover-weight papers. 2-sided.
6mil Laminate – Recommended for use with cover-weight papers to give them a slight boost in rigidity. 2-sided.
10mil Laminate – Recommended when your project needs a significant boost in rigidity. 2-sided.
We handle your folding needs with clean edges and even panels.
A crease will help your project cleanly fold, especially when it is folded against the paper's grain direction. Perforations allow your project to have tear-off panels.
We use several machines to drill clean, circular holes into your projects. This can help your project hang on a wall, assemble into a binder, or convert into a book!
With the help of some glue, gravity, and a padding press, your stacks of paper will magically turn into assembled forms and note pads!
If you’re planning on storing your printed goods, we encourage shrink wrapping them into bundles. This tight layer of plastic film keeps your project into neat groupings that are resistant to dust and moisture.
We have all sorts of machinery to combine your project’s components together. And, if all else fails, we have plenty of hands!
We can handle every step needed to get your project sorted, collated, stuffed into envelopes, securely sealed, and prepped for mailing!
Sometimes a rectangular cut isn't enough. Using special cutting dies, rotary knives, or lasers(!), we can carve your project into just about any imaginable shape!
Die Cutting - Shaped cutting through a full printed sheet. Any backing sheet is the same size and shape as the primary sheet.
Kiss Cutting - Shaped cutting through the top layer of the printed sheet, leaving a score or a larger backing sheet. Example: a sticker sheet.
For formal occasions, consider our foil stamping, embossing, and debossing options.
Foil Stamping - Hot foil in a variety of metallic colors is stamped onto your project's surface.
Embossing/Debossing - Using a layered die, a shape is stamped into your project's surface to give it depth. This can be paired with foil stamping for extra-fancy effects!
